HACP provides decent and safe rental housing for families and individuals.  We offer a variety of housing opportunities.  Use the links in the table below to learn more about our housing programs:

 

Programs Owned by the HACP

 

 
Low-Income Public Housing

The Public Housing Program provides low-rent units for low income families and individuals. It consists of Asset Managed Properties 100, 200, 300, & 400 (901 Units).
 
 
Section 8 New Contruction

HACP owns Mineral Palace Tower, a high rise complex for elderly or disabled individuals and couples, under the Section 8 New Construction Program (132 Units).
 
 
 
 
Farm Labor Program

Off-farm housing for farm laborers authorized by section 514 and section 516 of the Housing Act of 1949 (18 Units).
 

 

Programs Managed by the HACP

 

 
Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8 Rental Assistance)

This program allows very low-income families to choose and lease privately-owned rental housing.

 

 

 

 

Moderate Rehabilitation (Section 8 Rental Assistance)


Units that are owned and operated by private landlords that only accept referrals from HACP.
 
Project Based Assistance (Section 8 Rental Assistance) 

Central Apartments is part of the Project-Based Assistance Program.  It is a component of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program that provides long term project-based affordable housing for very low and extremely low households. Its subsidy is tied specificly the unit for the term of a Housing Assistance Payments contract (18 Units).

 

 

Section 202 Elderly Housing


Union Plaza Apartments (45 Units) & Richmond Apartments (51 Units) are part of the Section 202 program that helps expand the supply of affordable housing with supportive services for the elderly. It provides very low-income elderly with options that allow them to live independently but in an environment that provides support activities such as cleaning, cooking, transportation, etc.

 

 

Low-Income Housing Tax Credits


The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit is a tax credit created under the Tax Reform Act of 1986 that gives incentives for the utilization of private equity in the development of affordable housing aimed at low-income persons and families.

 

Rood Candy Apartments (35 Units), Oakshire Hills (50 Units), Santa Fe Crossing (30 Units), & Ashwood Apartments (25 Units)
